Welcome Reception in honor of Myanmar Envoy
Kathmandu : The Nepal Journalists Association (NJA)
hosted a grand Welcome Reception in honour of The Ambassador of
the Union of Myanmar H.E. U Thet Oo and Madam on 28th March
2009.
At the Reception H.E. Myanmar Envoy U Thet Oo express happiness
on the friendly relations between Nepal and Union of Myanmar.
Myanmar Envoy also expressed that nearly 3 lacs Nepalese people
who are in different parts of Myanmar are staying happily.
NJA President Manju Ratna Sakya gave details about the exchange
of journalists delegation visit between Nepal Journalists
Association and Myanmar journalists Association.
Mr. Sakya further said that the relations between the Government
of the Union Of Myanmar and the people of Myanmar is just like
the relations between fish and water.
Myanmar is developing very fastly in different sectors under the
far sighted and dynamic leadership of H.E. Sen. Gen. Than Swe,
Chairman of State and Peace Development Committee.
At the programmed NJA General Secretary Nirmal Kumar Aryal
deliverd the welcome speech.
NJA Special advisor and senior journalist Ram Chandra Neupane
presented the Khata to the Ambassador and Madam.
The Reception was followed by a lunch at Brunchilli Restaurant
Thamel on 28th March 2009, Saturday.
At the Reception NJA Executive Members, Senior Advocates, senior
journalists as well as large number of distinguished person were

Kathmandu: On the occasion of 97th Birth Anniversary of
the Great Leader President KIM IL SUNG, The Nepal Journalists

Reunification of Korea.
At the programme the Ambassador of DPRK H.E. Mr. Jang Yong Chol

DPRK.

Secretary of NCP ML Mr. C.P. Mainali highlighted on the

Grand Success of Pakistan Musical Evening Reception in
honour of Singer group held

VP of NPFCA passed away
Kathmandu : Mewa Kazi Kansakar, Vice President of
Nepal-Pakistan Friendship and Cultural Association (NPFCA) at
the age of 76 passed away on 19th April 2009 at Norvic Hospital.
Late Kansakar was in NPFCA as a Vice-President since 1971. On
the Suddenly death of Kansakar NPFCA, at its special meeting
extended heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family and pray
for the eternal peace to the departed soul. The meeting was
presided by its President Mr. Himalaya S. Rana.
Late Kansakar was the Deputy Editor of Arpan Weekly and Member
of Nepal Jouirnalists Association also. |

100th Birth Anniversary of President KIM IL SUNG (10
July 2009)
Kathmandu : To celebrate the 100th Birth Anniversary of
the Great Leader President KIM IL SUNG, the grand celebration
committees are forming in different countries of the world.
Likewise, in Nepal also, the high level Nepal National
preparatory Committee to celebrate the 100th Birth Anniversary
(14th April 2012) of the Great Leader President KIM IL SUNG will
be form today, 10th July 2009.

NJA Chief criticized Ban Ki Moon (10 July 2009)
Kathmandu : The President of Nepal Journalists
Association Manju Ratna Sakya has said that UN Secretary General
Ban Ki Moon is fool.
In a statement Mr. Sakya said that UN Secretary General should
not ask to the Myanmar Government to meet so called democratic
leader Aung Sang Suu Kyi during his visit to Myanmar.
Ang Sang Suu Kyi matter is the internal matter of the Government
and the people of Myanmar. He should not ask the Myanmar Govt.
to arrange a meeting with the so called democratic Myanmar
leader in Yangoon, Mr. Sakya said.
Further, Mr. Sakya said that Myanmar is developing in each and
every sector under the far sighted and able leadership of H.E.
Sen. General Than Shwe, Chairman of the State and Peace
Development Council of the Govt. of the Union of Myanmar. With
the active support, cooperation and coordination from the People

have stressed on expanding the bilateral relations between Nepal
and Pakistan.
‘Nepal and Pakistan have cordial relations but the time has come
to take them to a new height', they said while addressing a
function organised by Nepal-Pakistan Friendship and Cultural
Association to mark the Independence Day of Islamic Republic of
Pakistan.
Former Minister and Maoist leader Krishna Bahadur Mahara said
that Nepal and Pakistan had common problems that required common
understanding to deal with them.
Stating that both the countries were struggling to achieve
stability, Mahara called for initiatives to take up those
bilateral matters lying pending in order to deepen the relations
between the two countries.
Charge de affairs at Pakistan Embassy Masood Khan Raja noted
that two countries were famous for their enchanting snow peaks,
mountaineering tourism and hospitality.
He informed that the book on Gandhara civilisation had been
translated into Nepali from Pakistan, which offers wise
information about one of the ancient civilisations that
flourished in Pakistan.

highlighted on Nepal-Pakistan friendly relations.
Association President Himalaya Shumsher Rana stressed on
expanding the trade relations between the two nations.
Association General Secretary Manju Ratan Sakya said that the
association had been active to boost Nepal-Pakistan ties at
people-to- People level.

Welcoming the high level Govt. delegation of DPRK, NJA President
Mr. Manju Ratna Sakya highlighted on the friendly courdial
relations between Nepal and DPRK.

Birth Day Anniversary of Great Leader marked
Kathmandu : The Birth Anniversary of the Great Leader
Comrade KIM JONG IL is celebrating with different programmes in
the month of February 2010 in different countries of the world
including in Nepal also. In this connection, Nepal Journalists
Association (NJA) and Nepal-Korea Friendship Association jointly
organized a grand Reception with Talk programme in Kathmandu on
3rd February 2010 at Burunchilli Restaurant.
The Chief guest of the programe was Senior leader of the NCP UML
and Former Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Bam Dev Gautam.
At the same programme, Nepal Journalists Association President
Mr. Manju Ratna Sakya gave details about the NJA PEACE AWARD
2009 to the Great Leader Comrade KIM JONG IL. The same Award
with attractive Nepalese carving wooden frame was handed over by
NJA Chief Mr. Sakya to His Excellency the Ambassador of DPRK Mr.
Jang Yong Chol.
Likewise, the special Nepalese gift for Great Leader Comrade KIM
JONG IL was also handed over to the Ambassador of DPRK H.E. Mr.

The Great Leader Comrade His Excellency KIM JONG IL is the

Nepal Journalists Association with highest respect presents
“PEACE AWARD 2009” to the Great Leader His Excellency KIM JONG
IL, General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, Chairman
of the National Defense Commission of the DPRK and Supreme
Commander of the Korean People’s Army.
Despite the complicated international situation in 2009, Leader
KIM JONG IL firmly ensured peace and stability on the Korean
peninsula and the rest of the Asia-Pacific region with his
original Songun politics, Mr. Sakya Said. Further NJA Chief Mr
Sakya wishing good health and long life and prosperity to the
Great Leader His Excellency KIM JONG IL, who has made
outstanding contributions to Korea's reunification and the cause
of global independence and the world peace and the said the NJA
unanimously decided to confer "PEACE AWARD 2009" on him at its
grand meeting held in Kathmandu on January 2, 2010, reflecting
the desire of the Nepalese people and the progressive people of
the world.
